Coronavirus Update

With guidance from the Governor of Texas Greg Abbott, the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners is directing all dentist to follow the CDC guidelines regarding elective dental procedures.  The Dental Health Center is complying with the mandate and staying open to see emergency patients only.  All hygiene appointments have been rescheduled or cancelled.  Also, any non-emergent dental procedures will also be rescheduled.   If you have a dental appt already scheduled and it is to address pain, swelling, or excessive decay we will keep your appointment. This is for the time period of now thru April 21st.   We hope to be returning to a normal schedule soon and as we get more information, we will keep you updated as well.  Our office will be also limiting the number of people being allowed to enter the office to 10 or less starting today until this mandate is lifted.  You may be asked to wait in your car until a room is ready for you and we call you to come inside.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Again, if you have a dental emergency such as facial swelling, abscess (infection), broken tooth, or pain, etc., please call our office at 361-888-8603.

See below for a list of dental emergencies under the American Dental Association guidelines:

- severe pain and/or risk of infections
- Severe dental pain from pulpal inflammation
- Abscess, or localized bacterial infection, resulting in localized pain and swelling
- Tooth fractures resulting in pain or causing soft tissue trauma
- Dental trauma with avulsion/luxation
- Extensive dental caries (cavities) or defective restorations causing pain
- Replacing temporary fillings

- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Cellulitis or a diffuse soft tissue bacterial infection with intraoral or extra-oral swelling that potentially compromise the patient’s airway
- Trauma involving facial bones, potentially compromising the patient’s airway

Stay safe and have a nice day!

Dear Patient,

Welcome to our practice! We appreciate the trust you have placed in us.  Our first priority is your comfort.  Your individual needs are always considered, your choices respected.  In order to provide you with the best possible care, Dr. Manlove will first complete a comprehensive oral examination.  This includes a complete review of your medical and dental history, all necessary radiographs and intraoral images, oral cancer screening, periodontal health evaluation, and the examination of your teeth.  Following this exam, Dr. Manlove will discuss her findings with you, develop a treatment plan that your are comfortable with, and then you will be scheduled accordingly.

Please be prepared for your appointment by filling out the new patient information we have mailed to you.  You can also access the patient information on our website   Please call the office with any dental insurance information that you might have.  Also, please read our financial policy.  Payment is expected at the time of the first visit.  If you are covered by insurance, we will expect payment of your portion at the time of service unless prior arrangements are made.  For payment plans, we work with CareCredit. We would be happy to answer any questions about finances.

We believe in the team approach to dental care.  In order for your treatment to be successful please keep your appointments to ensure proper continuity.  Our practice is not a walk-in type of practice, therefore, we carefully schedule our patients based on their needs and personal schedules.  We confirm appointments 48 hours in advance so that no one’s time is wasted!  Cancellations should be treated with consideration for the inconvenience it can cause.  We realize that emergencies can happen, but cannot over emphasize our appreciation to our patients for keeping their planned appointments.

We are here to serve your dental needs Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am-3:00pm and Tuesday, Thursday 8:00am– 5:00pm.

We very much appreciate your confidence in us and look forward to meeting with you!

Dr. Stacy Manlove, D.D.S. and Staff
